Tomoyo was born a privelegded daughter of one of the higher members of the Vescovo hierarchy. She was raised a pampered and beloved daughter, hardly ever being allowed so much as a step without some form of protection.

Being constantly watched hardly allowed her the freedom to make a friend outside of the house. The only person she grew closer to was a boy near her age in the house named Syaoran. It was one of her closest friendships, and she was utterly broken when her friend went mysterious missing around the time they were both eleven.

Without much else to do, Tomoyo took it upon herself to start learning the ins and outs of the family at this young age. It was by sheer determination that she earned her first job at the age of fifteen. She mostly worked by ways of blackmail and extortion, a job made only easier by her delicate and young appearance. Her real goal, however, was to find a place to work within the house so that she could avoid messier jobs. She managed to fit comfortably within the position of an accountant and finiancial advisor by the time she turned seventeen, her exceptional intelligence being the factor that earned her such a position. She still manages some extortion jobs, though she is perfectly happy maintaining her most recent position instead.
